Young Writer's Night

Young adult playwriting competition is open to all middle school and high school students in Chatham County! Finalists get staged readings by professional actors and winners will receive CASH PRIZES and Dave & Buster's GAME CARDS!

Important Dates:

Submission Deadline: November 23rd

Finalist Announced: December 7th

Performance and Awards: December 13th at Front Porch Improv (Middle School: 1:30pm and High School 4:30pm)

Rules for Competition Entry:

1. Students must be enrolled in a public or private, middle or high school, either virtual, in person, or homeschooled in Chatham County, GA.

2. Each playwright must submit a registration.

3. Students may submit multiple plays for consideration.

4. Teachers may submit for a student as long as each playwright completes a registration.

5. Play may be no longer than 11 pages [including the title page].

6. Pages must be numbered.

7. Students may write solo or in a team of 2
